Position Overview: Outpatient Mental Health Therapist will provide outpatient individual, couples, and group therapy.  Clinical therapy services include treatment of adolescents, adults, couples, and families.  We are a rapidly-growing, small group private practice located in Hanover, PA.   We offer competitive hourly (client time) pay, flexible work schedule, and the ability to work from home or in the office.  If you want to be part of our team, please apply!

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site and/or virtual clinical counseling services to clients as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.
  • Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required.
  • If licensed, abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Wike Counseling Services.
  • Respond to clients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, email, etc.  Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such clients.
  • Communicate with a client’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
  • Timely complete (same day) written records for each client including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from Wike Counseling Services or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the client.  Keep client files accurate and up to date.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Wike Counseling Services.
  • Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Wike Counseling Services.  Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers.
  • Passion for working with others (being collaborative) and helping our team members grow and learn.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy or closely related field.  Must be working (or wanting to work) towards state licensure.  Free supervision is provided.
  • License highly preferred(LPC, LCSW, or LMFT). A copy must be provided to Wike Counseling Services.
  • Full-time therapists must be available to hold at least 25 client sessions per week, Part-time therapists must be available to hold at least 15 client sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Wike Counseling Services.
  • Be organized and detail oriented.
  • Be a team player.
  • Be able to work independently on tasks assigned.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in a private practice setting is highly preferred.
